Bright & Bold – An eclectic wedding styled shoot celebrating all things Chosen!
Here at Chosen Wedding Fair, we are always embracing new and innovative design and styles in the world of creative weddings – not just in our shows, but in our branding and feel! We want to always keep the unique and quirky elements that make Chosen the loved brand it is, and today we get to reveal to you our refreshed brand identity! We’re so proud to present a photoshoot that was brought together by Chosen Wedding Fair as a real collaboration between our talented suppliers!
With Chosen being a supporter and advocate of true artisan and inspirational creative talent in the industry, featuring the suppliers who make our shows the creative delight they are was really important to us. We wanted this shoot to celebrate their talent and really showcase the sense of inclusivity and creativity that we work hard to curate. Most importantly, we wanted to showcase the fun that makes Chosen unique in the world of wedding fairs!

We chose the beautiful Matara, near Tetbury as the venue for our shoot as it really gave us a diverse and beautiful backdrop to work with – a canvas chock full of period detail, but also a variety of textured walls, greenery and fascinating architecture for our suppliers to work with. Our goal was simple – bright pops of colour, fun and style. We knew that Fran of Evoke Pictures would be up for the challenge – and her sense of professionalism, experience of directing and capturing all the beautiful details really brought the entire shoot to life!
Throughout the shoot, we wanted to show how contemporary styling and bright colour can be used to bring a unique and eclectic look to a wedding. Contrasting the bright bursts of colour found in the stunning bouquets from The Rose Shed, the nebula-esque patterns of the table dressings and stationery by Pen & Fold with the more natural earthy and green tones of the venue really made for a stunning sense of duality – what can sound like a clash actually creates something fresh and beautiful that stands out from the crowd!
We opted for a palette of pinks, lilacs and space-like colours, contrasted with sparks of metallics and very deep purples, cyans and blues – a real fusion! Bright and bold was the name of the game with this shoot, showing how even the smallest bright pops can really bring depth and ‘wow’ to the simplest of table settings, all curated and brought together for us by the styling talents of The Little Wedding Helper.
To balance the boldness of our palette, we mixed in a range of softer more muted tones. The fabulous dresses designed by Sienna Von Hildemar Bridalprovided a sense of vintage charm for the modern bride, and the soft rose gold tones of the beautiful bespoke pieces created by Abigail Grace worked beautifully to fuse modern and traditional – enhanced of course through the absolutely stunning soft make-up created by award-winning Jessica Mills MUAand gorgeous hair-styling by Lauren Sullivan – Ladyamy Hair Design.
We were so lucky to have not one, but two brides on the shoot with very different but equally beautiful looks – with Yana’s pastel-pink hair and beauty being a perfect fit for our wider scheme and the alternative ethos of Chosen, and Sophie (aka Sophie Lake Photography – another of our exhibitors!) and her long dark locks showcasing a timeless and classic beauty! They and our gorgeous groom Georges were an absolute dream to work with all day -all happy to have a laugh, get stuck in and get into the spirit of the shoot!
We love a good veil here at Chosen HQ, and the soft pastel and ombre veils with metallic flecks provided by W Collective were quite possibly our favourite ever! We even used her nebula-like veil to dress our tablescape as it fit so well! The bright and colourful patterned accessories worn by Georges enhanced the funky palette even more, thanks to Francis + Louise! As if by fate, one of the accessories worn by Georges is actually called ‘Kingscote’ – which is named after the area that Kerry (founder of Francis + Louise) got married. Kingscote is 5 minutes down the road from Matara!
We accessorised our tablescapes and styling with some stunning complimentary and bespoke pieces – including some fabulous geometric place cards by Pen & Fold reflecting the slightly psychedelic space-like colours and patterns of our theme. We absolutely adored the custom ‘Chin Chin’ bar sign created by Andrew J Mason!
A particular showstopper was the hanging cake stand (and of course – the cake!) by Bake My Cake, which we accessorised using the natural plants and fixtures at the venue and another custom geometric sign created by Pen & Fold.
We want to thank everybody involved in the shoot once again for all of your time, energy and talent to bring it all to life! You all make Chosen Wedding Fair the show it is!
