When Charlie Met Hannah was formed in January 2017 by Charlie Leya Photography and Hannah Richards Photography. Having studied photography together and become really good pals, they decided they didn’t want to compete with one another and that they work better together! They are a photography and film duo who love weddings, love fun and love LOVE! So over to you When Charlie Met Hannah!

With three young children between us we know how important family is, and this is the ethos that defines our brand: we love capturing the moments between friends, family and loved ones at weddings and helping you to preserve them forever.

We believe that your wedding should be how YOU want it. Throw out the rule book and have your day your way. Our ideal couples would simply be two people in love who don’t take themselves too seriously!

Our 2017 highlights film features some of our favourite moments from the year… from our first wedding of the year in January – the amazing Gosia and James at Cardiff City Hall, to Paul and Nicola’s lovely laid back Gower wedding and Lydia and Roo’s fabulous festival wedding at Coed Hills, with some other super fun moments in between. It’s packed full of joy which is what we look for with all of our wedding highlights films.

We can’t wait to meet you at the Chosen Wedding Fair in Cardiff where we will be showcasing our photography too!

Whats the best piece of advice you give to clients on the day?

Hannah: Eat a good breakfast!! There is so much nervous energy around it’s easy to skip but no-one wants to feel faint standing at the altar, especially for summer weddings!
Charlie: Remember to breathe! Everyone tells you how fast the day goes but it’s really incredible just how fast it does. Take a moment for yourselves away from everything to just let it soak in.
Whats your most memorable wedding moment?
Charlie: On a personal note, for me at my wedding the bit I remember the most was when my new husband and I were off having our portraits done with our photographer and we just looked at each other for the first time and said “we did it!!”
Why should clients choose to invest in videography and photography for their special day?
Videography adds an extra element, it really does help you relive your day over again, plus how amazing is it to be able to show the grandkids in years to come! No-one ever says they regret having a wedding film but we hear plenty of couples who regret not having one!
So many couples spend a long time planning and saving for their big day and then it is over in a flash, by investing in photography (and video) you have all of the little details and moments captured for you to look back on and trigger those happy memories over and over again 🙂 We recommend investing in a quality album so that you have something tangible to look through and (as with video) show the grandkids one day!
