Chosen Wedding Fair are proud to present a photo shoot that was brought together by a collaboration of talented suppliers who have met through London based wedding fairs and who are friends or exhibitors with Chosen Wedding.
The brainchild of Paola De Paola Photography and French Made Cakes this stunning styled shoot was a good six months in the making but with each detail considered the time and care taken shines through.
With the idea of showcasing a contemporary styled vintage wedding – the style of Chosen Wedding Fairs – we hope that the images show the unique, bespoke and fresh ideas that are on offer from these and more talented suppliers who are part of the Chosen family, as well as the fun, freedom and exhilaration that two people share on their wedding day.
We really wanted to show how contemporary styling could bring a different look or edge to a vintage styled wedding, offering an alternative fresh look to what is already lovely, but may have been done before.
Finding Brixton East was a fantastic part of the journey in planning the shoot, the brickwork walls, wooden flooring and rustic feel set the perfect backdrop for the playful ‘secret wedding’ shoot bursting with colour, excitement and a lot of tiny details to bring the wow factor to life.
Curious Fair who also style the Chosen Wedding Fair London event’s interior design – chose a very romantic pink & pastel colour palette interspersed with glitter and sequins giving it a contemporary Art Deco vibe – something that the venue for our April fair encapsulates at the Deco built Assembly Hall in Islington. They also created geometric shape decorations placed throughout the sequined tablescape along with using vegetables – a slightly alternative but funky edge.
Curious Fair also created a couple of Art Deco inspired headdresses made from up-cycled jewellery & natural feathers which brought a fresh edge to the stunning and romantic dresses by Days of Grace Vintage. Both headdresses were a mixture of white, crystal & gold elements which worked beautifully with Adeline’s pastel pink hair to give it a fresh modern edge which also worked so beautifully with the floral crown – colours of which were totally unplanned but happily went so well together!
With the input of all involved – and a fabulous colour palette – and we’re happy to say that the results are something that we are all very proud of.
The shoot was held in March 2014 at Brixton East, a former Victorian warehouse built in 1871 and a real hidden gem for any wedding celebration.
We also had this amazing video made by the very talented Love Storage to promote our Islington April show. Love this so much!
